Copywriting Services from a Virtual Assistant

Providing copywriting services for clients is easily one of my favourite tasks to do. Writing has always been something I’ve enjoyed whether it was at University or for my former corporate career. I enter into my happy place the more I learn about new businesses, along with what motivates business owners, and what they are struggling to convey into words. It’s easy to assume that blog posts have long lost their traction for businesses and marketing especially with the dominance of podcasts and visual platforms such as Instagram and Pinterest. However, as you are reading this post and considering how many current articles there are on the resurgence and popularity of blogging, you best better believe that businesses are still looking for quality blog content and benefiting from it! In 2021, blogging has evolved from simply stating one’s opinion or compiling a quick guide to providing unique content that educates, inspires, and tells stories.

As we all know, websites are one of the first points of contact prospective clients go to see what your business is all about and if you can help them. As your business grows and changes, it’s necessary to revise the content so that you are attracting the people that you want to work with. I work to spruce up and write from scratch key website pages such as home, about, product offerings, FAQs, and more. The goal is to use the power of words to keep visitors interacting with your content as long as is necessary to build interest, decide to reach out and eventually make a purchasing decision.

Social Media Content

Half the battle with creating content on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook is writing captions that captivate and convert. Of course you need a stunning photo or compelling graphic. But once people have taken in the image, then what? This is where I come in.

Clients that I’ve provided captions have received a mixture of long and short form that help build connection, answer common questions, and demonstrate how their product or service can help their audience. To properly begin, I give clients an in-take form to fill out so that I can efficiently learn about the tone behind their business, learn about the people they serve and sell, brand values and more. We all have different ideas on how to interpret something, so I find it’s best to clear this up right away and be on the same page.

Marketing Decks

A client of mine offers project management services for her clients looking to put together marketing presentations to attract investors. My role in these projects is to write the copy, do research, and ensure that investors have all the information to make a favourable decision. Every project has their specific requirements and goals that need to be considered. Sometimes this work will involve several revisions and changes in direction as the project nears completion. It’s definitely a challenge sometimes, but once the project has been completed and my client and the end client are both happy, it’s a feeling like no other!
